As a nation, Indians are, in general, a bit too delusional. Before the election, ‘Trump sirr’ ‘Trump saaarr’ was on everyone’s lips. As if that bloody maggot was gonna do their chores. Some states even started worshiping ‘Trump the deity.’
Now, in the game of geopolitics, in this neo-cold war of economics, India can’t align with the West. They were buying Russia’s ‘banned’ oil at wholesale prices and reselling it to the world as ‘Indian’ oil. Massive profits. They even signed an ’exclusive port agreement’ with Iran, labeled a ’terrorist’ state by the West. Yet that same country runs grey propaganda about our ‘communal unrest.’ Hypocrisy. Seleucus!
Anyway, a significant chunk of America’s vote bank consists of people of Indian origin. Before the election, the rival Kamala Harris was ahead in the race to bag their votes, since she too has Indian blood. Like a brilliant move in chess, Trump made one in politics. He tweeted that he was ‘concerned about Hindu persecution.’ That was it — Indians collectively lost it. Trump ‘Sirrr’ became their savior overnight. Kamala Harris couldn’t do much; the Democrats weren’t in a great position anyway. The delusional nation gave Trump ‘Sirrr’ free promotion. A country of 1.4 billion. Forget talk shows — the level of campaigning they did through Facebook posts and WhatsApp texts would have cost Trump billions of dollars.
Trump won the election. The delusional community had one thing to say: ‘Trump Sirrr’ will save the world once he takes office on January 20th. The sycophants were ready to lick his feet and drink it as holy water.
A few months passed since Trump took office. Now our neighbors don’t call Trump ‘Sirrr’ anymore. Trump is a businessman through and through. Eccentric by nature. He couldn’t accept that India’s business policies were hurting America. Not just India — he slapped heavy tariffs on every country whose business policies weren’t ‘favorable’ to his own. The tariff on India? 50%! Meaning a product made in India worth 10,000 taka would cost 15,000 taka to sell in America! The same Bangladeshi product could go there for around 12,500 taka.
Things are a bit dire. They need to find a new ‘Sirrr.’ Trump isn’t cutting it anymore. Anti-west countries have united, with China and Russia on their side. The same China that Indians used to curse left and right, the same China that literally supports Pakistan with everything, the same China that claims Arunachal Pradesh as its own — now your country needs to establish ‘peace’ with them. Aren’t you ashamed?
Will you believe whatever narrative the media feeds you, whatever you see around you? Why is it so easy to control your ’thought process’?
Mate, there’s no ‘Sirrr’ in politics. Just like pawns are merely used in chess, politicians are using you. The more lifeless you are, the more likely you are to become part of this dirty game. Nobody f***ing cares about you. Not a single politician. They sit on their thrones to please the wealthy elite, to strengthen their grip. You’re just part of their game. So if you’re going to play, play with your eyes and ears open.
Side note: I think the tariff issue will be resolved or improved very quickly. You’ll see a big difference in tariffs within a few months. Until then, grab some popcorn and enjoy the ‘game.’ Since tariffs are comparatively lower, many garment orders from China and India have started coming to Bangladeshi companies. This is good news for us.
